Produced by Bucket and Spade for Cumbria Tourism

To help enable members to continue to advertise and promote their businesses in these challenging times, Cumbria Tourism has frozen the advertising rates from the last edition.
  • Terms & Conditions

  • To advertise you must be a member of Cumbria Tourism for the year of publication or have paid the non-member supplement.

Payment of advertising is due within 7 days of the date of invoice unless an agreed payment plan is in place.

The financial liability of placing this advertisement remains with the advertiser placing this order should the establishment or attraction be sold.

Advertisement copy must be supplied by the deadline given. In the event of failure to supply, Cumbria Tourism reserves the right to charge you for the space booked.

Provided the copy is received by the stipulated date, Cumbria Tourism or its agents will supply a proof of the advertisement before publication and the advertiser is responsible for checking this within the time allowed. No responsibility is accepted for error or faulty reproduction not corrected on proofs supplied to the advertisers or their agents. Any costs incurred making amendments following a reproof to advertisers’ entries, including author’s corrections, may be recharged to the advertiser.

For display advert design, all instructions and content, along with some previous examples of branded materials, should be provided by the advertiser.

Advertisers are reminded that the quality of material supplied by them for advertisements cannot be improved upon and inferior material will be reflected in the quality of reproduction. Cumbria Tourism reserves the right to edit, copy and maintain a standard format layout.

All digital files and artwork made in the production of promotional material will remain the property of Cumbria Tourism.

Cumbria Tourism reserves the right to refuse, amend, or withdraw any advertisements submitted at its discretion. All advertisements must comply with The UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (CAP Code), and must in no way contravene the Trade Descriptions Act.

The advertiser will indemnify Cumbria Tourism, and agents acting on its behalf, against any damage, loss or expense from whatever cause or cost which may be incurred as a direct or indirect consequence of its advertisement. Neither Cumbria Tourism, nor its agents will be liable for any loss or damage, consequential or otherwise, occasioned by error, late publication, or the failure of an advertisement to appear from any cause whatsoever.

Cumbria Tourism will not be liable for any claim whatsoever in respect of legislation in connection with the European Community Package Travel Directive. Cumbria Tourism features advertisements in good faith but cannot assume any responsibility in respect of individual package organisers or retailers.

Cumbria Tourism makes no guarantee of revenue to the advertiser as a result of placing any advert.

Descriptions of, or references to products, services or publications within an advert do not constitute or imply their endorsement or recommendation in any way by Cumbria Tourism, its employees, or contractors. No reference to any specific product, process, or service by trade name, trademark, manufacturer, or otherwise shall be used for advertising or product endorsement purposes.

Advertisements are not subject to cancellation by the advertisers.
